Kickin For A Cause was the fundraising event planned and executed by the 2016 Leadership York County Class (LYCO) to fund their project to bring Safe Place to York County. To publicize and draw a crowd to the event, the class applied to Come See Me to be an Approved Activity that would take place during Gourmet Gardens.
A small delegation of the class decided to continue to put on the Kickball Tournament after they graduated from LYCO, with the intent to help fund other causes in York County that helped children. In 2017, the Tournament again raised funds to help Safe Place and in 2018 choose the Boys and Girls of York County as the beneficiary of the Tournament proceeds.
